New Mexico Public Education Department Service Learning Grant Awarded To Memorial Middle School Agricultural Science Center
The Memorial Middle School Agricultural Science Center was one of four successful applicants for the New Mexico Public Education Department Service Learning Program grant and will be awarded $40,000 a year for three years. The Service Learning grants are provided to assist in developing high quality service learning programs in elementary and secondary schools that provide youth with opportunities to learn and develop skills through service learning applications. Through the work at the greenhouse we expect to engage students in service learning activities that will foster respect for the natural environment, promote service to the community, and enrich their academic learning opportunities.
